What is tallow and why is it good for my skin?
Tallow, the primary ingredient of our cream, is a game-changing superfood for your skin at a cellular level, found right in nature. We have carefully researched and developed the product and added other 100% organic ingredients and fully believe in it because the proof is in the results. Exactly what is it? Tallow is a type of purified fat. Ours is the result of a delicate and tedious process to purify the nutrient-dense fat around the kidneys of 100% grass-fed cows. Fats, along with proteins, are essential building blocks for every cell membrane. Tallow supports the regeneration and repair process of the skin. It absorbs easily and is compatible with our cell membranes.
What’s in it that makes it work so well?
We don’t claim to be doctors, but we’ve done the research and have heard and seen the results from users. They are saying that it has kept conditions such as eczema, keratosis pilaris and redness at bay. Some have said it has made scars diminish. Vitamin A

Conjgated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

How to use Cheeky Cow
A little goes a long way!
Use a pea-sized amount that you first soften by rubbing between your fingertips. The cream may feel a little more dense than what you are used to, but it becomes smooth and emollient almost immediately by the warmth of your body. Apply to face, neck, around your eyes, and whole body for a luminescent glow.
Your skin may appear a little shiny for a short time, but it will drink up the cream quickly and leave you with a balmy feel that will be with you all day. When using at night, you will wake up feeling well moisturized. We recommend using it day and night for best results.
Cheeky Cow doesn’t just sit on your skin like many creams, it soaks right in. Your well-hydrated skin will accept make-up beautifully. Without make-up, you will enjoy your skin’s balmy radiance.
Remember…. just use a tiny bit— your tin will last a long time! And you will get used to the ritual or warming it in your finger tips!
One product does it all!
Currently we have one product that works everywhere- face, eyes, lips, cuticles, feet and whole body. The 100% organic ingredients are safe for all over. It’s even edible, but probably not the best snack!

Want to smooth out dry feet? You know what to do!
One of our favorite uses is to tame flyaway hairs and give an overall smoothness— put the teeny tiniest bit on your fingertips and pat hair on the ends or where needed!
Product info…
The cream has a unique solid, yet whipped consistency and when kept in room temperature will remain in a hard form that you will scoop out with your fingertips. If it is kept in a hot place, it will liquify, just like coconut oil. But it will soon return to it’s solid state when kept out of the heat. If you like yours a tad on the soft side, leave it in a window sill. But be careful leaving it in a hot car. But no worries, it will just go back to it’s normal state!
Each batch, made by hand in a sanitized environment, is a little different, as we are always trying to perfect things, but we can guarantee you that each has the same ingredients. All are are 100% organic.
Ingredients: tallow, mango kernal butter, kokum kernal butter, cupuacu kernal butter, coconut oil, apricot kernal oil, jojoba seed oil, cera alba beeswax, raspberry seed oil, argan oil, baobab seed oil, vitamin E, grapefruit oil, sweet orange essential oil, helichrysum essential oil, lavender essential oil.
The above list is for our scented version which has a refreshing note to it, but we also offer an unscented.

Our Story
Here’s How it Started…
Sarah Hurst, founder and creator, from Richmond, Virginia, was inspired by her friend Liz Shield, who always had a dewy glow and great skin. Often riding in Liz’s car to mountain biking destinations, she sampled Liz’s tallow product kept with her at all times- for a quick lip fix, face protection or post-ride hands. She also noticed when Liz went out at night her arms and legs had a balmy sheen. One day in 2018, Liz finally gifted her some from a farmers market out west. Sarah was quickly addicted too, as she noticed the way it changed her skin to the point where people would ask her what she was doing differently. She had never tried anything like it.
She researched it and learned that it scientifically all made sense why her skin looked and felt better. She remembered horseback riding at summer camp and they would use tallow to keep the saddles in top shape. Leather is skin and suddenly it really made even more sense. She then investigated how to make it and make because she wanted to share it with more people. She sought to improve upon the product she had first sampled. It caught on word of mouth as people tried it.
Sarah, an interior designer and mother of four boys, teamed up with Sarah Cannova from Washington, DC, also a mother of four and owner and creator of the former popular DC shoe store, Sassanova. Sarah C., a savvy businessperson and product lover, soon also became obsessed after trying it. Even her son can’t live without it for his dry skin issues. Together and with the help of Sarah H.’s son, Spencer, a college student studying business and computer science in the Engineering School at UVA and Sarah H’s mom painted the logo. Together, we aim to turn more people on to the benefits of tallow.
We collectively believe in sustainability and recognize that it’s environmentally sound and healthy to use ingredients found in nature. We also believe in supporting farmers, as all of our tallow is sourced from 100% grass-fed cows from Virginia farms.
